Dispatch & Customer Service

This position is responsible for converting incoming customer calls into booked service calls and dispatching to service technicians based on schedule of work. The dispatcher must possess strong customer service skills and have a genuine empathy for customers and a willingness to help others.

​A qualified candidate must have the ability to work with limited supervision and self-motivated to take the initiative to learn and grow with the company. Must have effective listening and verbal communication skills, sales capability, proven ability to meet/exceed set goals, and be receptive to coaching and feedback. You must have a positive attitude, a smile in your voice and a willingness to help as we pride ourselves on the service we provide to our customers.

​Position Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls, inquiring about the customer’s needs, an anticipating what will be needed to efficiently service the customer

  • Supplying our plumbing and septic technicians with the information they need to service the customer

  • Resolve customer service issues

  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize work flow

  • Subject Matter Expert for the internal dispatch and accounting programs

  • Efficiently communicate the products and services offered by the company to customers in every interaction; be well versed in the operations to support each customer

  • Complete required permit applications, locate services and call for inspections

  • Monthly statements & collections process

  • Supports the company with data reporting, Excel spreadsheets, and research gathering as needed

  • Marketing communications

  • Miscellaneous administrative duties and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Two years related experience in dispatching and/or service industry

  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Products, QuickBooks, Maps, Pictures, File Manager

  • Customer service experience, possessing a positive attitude and pleasant phone demeanor

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and in a team setting

  • Must have excellent attendance and be prompt and on time

  • Knowledge of a service based business, preferably plumbing, HVAC or electrical

  • Selected candidates will undergo a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicles check
